I LOVE LOVE LOVE Limon! I received a ton of compliments after my first visit and continued to receive them even a month later!
Definitely book with Janet if you can (she books up fast!) . She can work magic on your hair and gives great tips on how to style and what products to use. She's not pushy on selling products and will ask what you have at home and teach you how to work with what you have already. She's extremely patient and really listens to what you want and asks a lot of questions. She also won't hesitate to make any suggestions but will ultimately do whatever you want. She's super friendly and fun to chat with.
I also love the little dressing room for you change out of your clothes and into a smock so that your clothing isn't covered with hair afterwards (ick!).
The one down side is that they do charge $15 for a bang trim while my previous stylists did them for free. I guess it's a small price to pay when they keep my hair looking so great.
I almost don't want to post this because it might lead to Janet being completely booked out for the year!

You know how you think you like a hair cut at the salon because the stylist has blow dried and styled your hair and it just looks and feels great? Then you get home, shower and realize it's not as nicely cut as you think? That's what I felt about getting my hair cut almost all the time until I came here!
I've put off cutting my hair since I'm getting married this summer and didn't want anything drastic. But it's gotten so long I couldn't deal with it anymore. So I took a chance when the Groupon came up for Limon and scheduled an appt last Saturday.
Janet was my stylist and she was GREAT! She listened really intently to what I was scared of in my hair cut, and how I maintain my hair, and what I'm really looking for in a cut. Then she gave a great shampoo complete with massage :) She was really sensitive to what I wanted and did a great job being thorough.
It's almost a week later--and I still love my cut!

After avoiding any hair salon for a year because I always come out depressed, I found Limón on Yelp and scheduled an appointment with Janet based on all the happy customers' reviews. I can honestly say, I've never had a better experience! Janet was fantastic! She's very friendly and made easy conversation while she meticulously cut my hair. The scalp massage was a great plus! I also loved how she educated me on my fine hair. I admitted I was "hair dumb and hair lazy" and normally just wash and leave my hair as is and that most stylists finish with a fancy blow out that I can never mimic. Instead, she showed me simple quick ways to style my hair, a volume adding blow dry, sleek flat ironing, and how to quickly add texture. I was so happy that I even bought the few products she used. As for the salon itself, it is clean, stylish, and easy to find (close to DSW, haha)! A++ for Janet and Limón!!

i just love janet! this was my first time there and she listened, had great options, educated me on my hair (and head shape!), schnooked me and made me feel very special plus gave me a great doo with fabulous products!
for a fancy-schmacy salon the staff and owner are wonderfully down to earth while i still felt like i got the rock star treatment. a cute little changing room, great art and music plus if you're offered wine at a salon, you know you've arrived.
bravo for janet and limon, they are shear genius!

She is the reason I keep coming back. You are very luck to have such a great staff-althought it is quite surprising how often things change in between visits

Salon: Made my first appointment here for a cut and color a few weeks ago. The online scheduling system is very convenient and easy, don't know why more places don't go this route. The salon is quite nice, I love the artwork, especially the two Mister T's! Like many finer establishments, they offer soda and wine during your visit. I imbibed a couple glasses of wine and got a nice buzz going.
Stylist: I went with Janet, as she was recommended by a friend. Not only is she super-cool and fun to talk to, she spent a lot of time making sure I was happy with the cut and color. I wanted to get a little creative and funky with my hair color and it was fun working with her on what to do. We ended up deciding on streaks of red and purple and it came out looking great. My hair was really stubborn and took forever to lighten up, but eventually she bleached it into submission. Janet was also the first stylist to notice this annoying little quirk where my hair doesn't lay properly in one spot. We dubbed this spot "the flap" and Janet was able to surgically remove it. It was a little sad saying good-bye to ole "Flappy", but it was a split that had to happen and I think both of us are the better for it.
I highly recommend Janet if you're looking for a new stylist. Also, if you happen to run into "Flappy", tell her I said hello and I hope she's doing well.

I went for a cut/color consultation with Janet, after checking out the reviews on yelp. She was wonderful in addressing my apprehensions about permanent color and explaining all options available to me. I felt comfortable enough to splurge on a full color job. A little steep for someone used to doing it myself a few times. But, the 15% discount from the Yelp Ad helped. And the assistance in choosing the right kind and quality of color is something I'll be able to use -now that I have a lot more gray hair to worry about:(

This was my second hair cut with Janet and she was, once again, terrific! She is very conciencious and knows how to take care of her customers. I would highly recommend her to anyone that is looking for a hair stylist.

The best part about this salon is that I have two ladies who are awesome that I can go to. A few months ago, I wanted to schedule an appointment, but Daniela wasn't available at the times I needed, so I scheduled with Janet. She is also pretty amazing. I've only done color with her, but she's done a beautiful job each time and she really knows what she's doing. Not only that, but she's super personable and will explain everything that she does with my hair. So yeah, you definitely can't go wrong with Daniela and Janet, they're both spectacular!

I booked my first appointment here online with Jo (very convenient!). On the day of I got a call letting me know that she had called in sick, but I was impressed that they managed to fit me in with another stylist (Janet) about the same time. I had a little bit of trouble finding the place (don't take that to mean it's hidden away... I get lost walking to my bathroom), but that's about the only problem I had!
Janet did a great job with my hair - I really liked that she explained to me what she was doing and why along the way! She's also fun to talk to and has a great personality. I will definitely be back - and if you decide to make an appointment here get one with Janet!

Janet was my hairstylist and she is amazing! This is the second time she has done a color for me and the first cut. I needed to keep my hair simple and very wash and go. Janet did an excellent job changing my hair just enough for me to have it be different, but just as easy for me to manage and style at home. She also took plenty of time to explain what she was doing as she was working and never once made me feel that she was rushed. Both times Janet has done my hair it's been at the very end of the day and I appreciate that she still took her time to do an excellent cut and color.
The salon is the perfect amount of edge and trendiness without being intimidating nor over the top. Finding a balance is really tough and this salon has done it. The entire staff appears to be truly happy to be there and that really sets the tone for any client visiting. I'm really glad I found this place!

I just got my hair cut by Janet yesterday and as usual she worked her magic and made my hair sexy & edgy. Basically, she is AMAZING. She can transform your hair into any kind of look that you want. I have been crazy about the whole spunky/edgy look for the last 2 years and every single time Janet cuts my hair she NAILS it. I always get compliments on how FAB my hair looks! Janet always makes you feel comfortable and will tell you exactly what would look good on you and what wouldn't She is so easy to talk to, whenever I see her its like I'm getting my hair cut by a friend ...a super talented friend who makes my hair beautiful! She really tries to incorporate your personality into your look as well. My sister and I both get our hair cut by her and we are very different with our hairstyles (she's a bit younger so she likes sleek,straight, medium length hair while I like long, choppy, edgy hair) but Janet can do both types! I definitely recommend Janet to anyone who wants to have sexy/flirty/fun/cute hair!

In regards to my salon visit on Saturday November 7th with stylist Janet. Let me start by saying, I really truly enjoy your salon, although I was saddened to hear that Julie (my previous stylist) had left, I was reluctant to have to pick another stylist. There website is great which helped me in picking Janet and hands down I am thoroughly impressed and satisfied with Janet. This was my second visit to Janet. I was not at all disappointed with my first visit-loved the cut, color and highlights-so it was a no brainier that I would be booking my next appointment.
She gets a 5 in my book! She knows what she is doing and doesn't give you the standard answer "let's try that"-if she doesn't think a style will work with your hair type-she explains why-that is a sign of a GREAT stylist.

At LAST!!!!!! I was looking for a new style to welcome myself into my 40's. I had no idea where to go, so I started Googling salons in my area. That's when I found Yelp.!
Searching through the reviews, there was a review written for Limon that sounded exactly like what I needed. Fix damaged hair, change to new look, experienced stylists so I clicked on http://limonsalon.com.
Wow, bios on all of the stylists and the best feature of all.....I can book my own appointment and choose my own services...OMG HOW COOL!
I was paired with Janet. A DARLING and charming stylist that was excited I wanted a new look. Right up her alley. She was adorable, knowledgeable and really in tune to what ***I*** wanted and not what ***SHE*** wanted. She did an awesome job. She was very careful applying color on me for the first time to make sure that it was what I wanted. I felt comfortable the entire time.
In the end, my color turned out a perfect match to the swatch I wanted and the cut was exactly what I wanted. I was very happy when I left.
The salon is beautiful, calming and CLEAN. I will definitely be back again!!!!!

absolutely love my hair cut! I have very stubborn Asian hair and it is always flat and boring. I let it grow out way too long and it was time for a haircut. I was shopping near Stevens Creek and decided to go to the salon that was close and with a good Yelp review. I called Limon and I was able to get an appointment instantly. My friend was with me and they gave us refreshments and made us feel comfortable instantly. My hair stylist Janet Lang was absolutely a delight to work with, not only is she extremely talented but she was teaching me how to manage my hair the whole time. I am going to her from now on religiously! Janet is hilarious too! ASK for JANET LANG!

I just got my hair cut for the second time by Janet and it came out very, very nice - again. I consider myself to be pretty picky when it comes to this kind of thing, but she nailed it both times. I highly recommend Janet.
Also, not only is she experienced and creative - she also happens to be a very sweet gal :)

Where to start.. Well first off my stylist is Janet. I followed her from Visual Image in Fremont to Limon in San Jose. She is by far the best hair stylist i have ever had. Ive never stuck with one person for my hair until i met her. Now ill never go to anyone else. Haha. She knows my hair so well and always does it exactly how i ask. She always explains what she is doing and why shes doing it so your not left in the chair wondering whats going on. There's never a dull moment when I'm with her she always keeps conversation so there is no awkward silence. She is very genuine and takes her time. She doesn't rush thru everyone to get more clients she takes her time on her work and it shows in the end. I would highly recommend Janet to anyone, shes the BEST! (:

I went to Limon for the first time last month and I loved it from the second I walked in. The place looked amazing and I was greeted warmly. The place has a great vibe and it all felt very welcoming.
Janet is the best hair stylist ever! Janet has been my hair stylist for a while now and I love her! She is very attentive, listens to what I want (and don't want) and comes up with great suggestions when I want to change my hair but don't know what I want to do with it. She is amazing with color - the bright colors she gets into my (black) hair is unreal. We have a fun time talking while she's doing my hair and I love every minute I'm sitting in her chair. The best part is, I KNOW I'm going to walk away with great hair. Whether its for a cut, color, and/or style, I highly recommend Janet.
I can't wait for my next hair visit!
